This thought-provoking, environmental musical appeals to children's love of creatures great and small.
On a midsummer afternoon, excited Minibeasts are rehearsing their special song and dance for the evening Fiesta. But there is nowhere to run and hide when Inspector Secticide and the Bug Squad gate crash, carrying a violin-case containing insect-fighting gear. Bees, Butterflies, Millipedes, Spiders, Snails and Praying Mantises run for cover and even the fearless Fly is terrified! After getting stuck in the mud and tied up in a web, the angry Bug Squad launch their attack. Can those resourceful creepy crawlies use their natural defences to send them packing?
With plenty of solo and chorus parts, Minibeast Madness is ideal for all primary school pupils to take part in. The informative script and eight memorable songs and dances will make performers and audience aware of the threat from pesticides to minibeasts’ survival as well as our own.
